RECITATION

Recitation

Recitation pieces are analysed in full, covering every kind of text type; students are guided to understand the background of a work so as to grasp its deeper meaning, and close reading of the pieces greatly strengthens reading ability. Correct pronunciation is taught, along with the use of intonation, articulation, stress and pause to make a stage performance more accomplished and more moving. Every element, from fluency to stage presence, is drawn on in preparing for competition, developing students' speaking skills and their confidence across the board.
