Over the years, our tutors have coached many champions at the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, with a proud record of awards. The Festival is one of Hong Kong's longest-running and largest inter-school language and performing-arts events; our experienced tutors work one-to-one to unpack each piece and refine every delivery — from comprehension and articulation to stage presence — helping your child shine on stage.

Understand the background of the piece, grasp its content, savour and reflect on its meaning. Master clear articulation and pronunciation to read fluently, and learn stage etiquette and presence.

FAQS
Entry notices and certificates are collected from the school or organisation you registered with. If you register through the school, the school distributes them to students; if you register through us, we collect them on your behalf and then contact you.
Please send us a digital copy of the school's exam timetable notice. Once confirmed, we will arrange a date change with the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association, then notify you to collect the updated entry notice from our centre.
For students learning and competing for the first time, we suggest the language they know best or love most, so they can relax and enjoy recitation in class, ease first-time nerves, and gradually grow to love it.
Only children who turn five on or before 31 December this year may register. If not yet old enough, they can join recitation competitions run by other organisations to warm up and gain experience for next year's Festival.
Yes. Mandarin/Cantonese solo: a student may enter both the poetry and prose items for their grade. English solo: a student may enter one item each in the non-open category (grouped by grade) and the open category (grouped by age).
Most participants at the Schools Speech Festival compete in school uniform.
As entry notices and certificates are important, to avoid loss we ask parents to collect them in person at our centre. For SF Express (freight collect) delivery to a specified address, parents bear the postage cost and risk. Our fee covers registration procedures, competition pieces, collecting the entry notice and certificate on your behalf, and assisting with date changes.
Item numbers can be found in the competition catalogue of the relevant language on the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association website (https://www.hksmsa.org.hk/tc). For districts: English items, apart from the non-open category with E (New Territories East), U (Urban), K (Tsuen Wan & Kwai Chung) and Y (Tuen Mun & Yuen Long), are all N (no district). Cantonese and Mandarin items, apart from primary-and-above poetry and prose solos with E/U/K/Y districts, all fill in N.
