This statement applies to www.jhpclass.com and its course-enquiry and trial-lesson booking flows. Jinghua Language respects the privacy of learners, parents and website visitors, and handles personal data in accordance with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and applicable data-protection principles.
Important notice before booking or making an enquiry
The booking form asks for the student's name, age and a contact number. We use these details only to respond to your enquiry, understand a suitable course or trial-lesson arrangement, and communicate about that service. The information stays in your browser first; only when you select submit will WhatsApp open with the details inserted into a draft message. You can review, amend or choose not to send that message. If required information is not provided, we may not be able to handle the course or trial-lesson enquiry.
1. Personal data we may collect
We collect only data that is directly relevant and reasonably necessary for our services. Depending on how you contact us, this may include a parent's or contact person's name, phone number, email address, a student's name and age, course interests, enquiry details and other information you choose to provide.
When you browse the website, our hosting or network service providers may also produce ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, device and request time. These are used only for operating, securing and troubleshooting the website and preventing misuse.
2. Why we use personal data
We may use data to answer course or trial-lesson enquiries, arrange and provide course services, verify contact details, handle parent support requests, maintain the security and quality of the website and services, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
If we wish to use personal data for a purpose unrelated to the original collection purpose, or for direct marketing, we will obtain any consent required in the circumstances. You may ask us to stop promotional messages at any time using the contact details below.
3. WhatsApp, external platforms and transfers
After you choose to submit a booking request, the website opens WhatsApp so that you can send your enquiry directly to Jinghua Language. Once a message is sent through WhatsApp, it is also subject to WhatsApp/Meta's applicable privacy terms and data-handling arrangements. Please do not send identity-card numbers, bank information, health records or other unnecessary sensitive information in a general enquiry message.
We disclose data only where necessary to authorised people who handle enquiries and service arrangements, service providers supporting website hosting, communications, security or technical support, or bodies entitled by law to request disclosure. We do not sell personal data.
4. Children's data
Our programmes are primarily for learners aged 3 to 18. A parent or guardian should submit enquiries, make course arrangements and provide contact details for a minor. Parents and guardians should provide only the child's information needed to arrange the service.
5. Retention, security and technical data
We use reasonably practicable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to restrict unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration or deletion. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is absolutely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data in ordinary messages.
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the collection purpose or a directly related purpose, then deleted, destroyed or anonymised as appropriate. The website does not create an account or store booking-form contents itself.
6. Cookies and third-party links
The website may use technical mechanisms needed for normal operation and may record ordinary server-request information. It does not build a user profile from booking-form contents. Once you follow a WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or other external link, that third party's privacy policy applies; we do not control its data practices.
7. Access, correction and privacy enquiries
You may ask to access or correct personal data we hold about you, or ask about this policy and your direct-marketing choices. To protect data, we may reasonably verify identity and will handle requests under applicable law.
